I'm not an authority when it comes to blogging but yes, I do learn a lot from mistakes. One of few things I've discovered since I started blogging four months ago..get the best web hosting plan if you intend to blog long term.

Once you are done setting up, putting content, building traffic etc, of course you expect some people to regularly visit your site. It's a blogger's duty to maintain and provide good content on the blog, it helps too if you can have your own custom template, its also a must that a blogger promote his/her website. Let other's know about your blog! Drive traffic to your site and make sure they come back. If your site is not updated regularly and if most of the time it is unaccessible or difficult to load, your regular visitors might be dissuaded from coming back again. A reliable web hosting company would ensure that your site is up at least 99.9% of the time, with good technical support, regular backups and of course it should be affordable too.

I now have several sites, mostly hosted on blogger so its free, but when I decided to buy my own domain, get my own web host, and create a new personal blog, I made sure I chose the best web hosting I could find..
